Why we are asking for donations
The creation of Headline History was made possible when, in 2003, Associated Northcliffe Digital was commissioned by Culture Online, part of the Department for Culture Media and Sport, to produce an engaging, interactive website for children.
Since the website was launched in May, 2004, its success has been phenomenal – both in terms of the number of pupils and teachers who use it and the awards heaped on it, including a BAFTA.
Funding for the project, however, ran out at the end of March 2007. Associated Northcliffe Digital is now looking at the various options relating to the future of Headline History. In the meantime we are determined to keep this amazing resource up and running.
Anyone who wishes to make a donation to help keep the website live for as long as possible can do so by clicking on the PayPal button on the homepage. The transaction is perfectly secure and the amount you donate will be known only to you.
Many thanks for helping to prevent Headline History from being history.
